Soulful, timeless, ethical, and versatile.

Our story

This brand started with a simple feeling: not finding what I was looking for.

I wanted pieces that felt considered, not rushed. Clothes that fit real life, not just a season. Fabrics that felt good on the body and still held their shape years later. And designs that didn’t rely on trends to feel relevant. So I began designing them myself.

GERGANA IVANOVA is built slowly, in Los Angeles, with intention at every step. From the fabric I choose to the number of pieces we make. I believe clothing should be chosen, not accumulated.

Every piece is handmade locally, by a women-led team, using carefully sourced deadstock fabrics, materials that already exist, often left behind by larger brands. Instead of creating more waste, I work with what’s already there and design around it.

I believe in making fewer things, better. We produce in limited quantities, never restocking the same style twice. Not to create urgency but to protect the process, the quality, and the people making the clothes. I believe in designing clothes that last beyond a season. In supporting local craftsmanship and real relationships, not scale for the sake of growth.

GERGANA IVANOVA is for women who think before they buy.
Who care about how something is made, how it fits, and how it will live in their wardrobe over time.

Nothing is overproduced.
Nothing is restocked.

What we make is meant to stay.

- Gergana Ivanova

Materials & Production

Handmade in Los Angeles in small batches by family-owned factories that share our commitment to ethical practices and transparency.

We proudly partner with manufacturers who uphold our values, providing their teams with fair wages, health insurance, paid sick leave, reasonable working hours, and opportunities for professional growth, all within safe and supportive environments.

Our fabrics are sourced as deadstock from premium mills and fashion houses, often materials that would otherwise go unused. This allows us to work with higher-quality textiles while producing responsibly and in limited runs.

Each style is produced in small quantities, typically between 40–150 pieces, depending on the fabric available. This ensures each piece is as timeless as it is unique.

When a style sells out, it is not remade.

Eco-Friendly Fabrics

Wool

Utilizing deadstock wool minimizes waste and allows us to create unique, limited-edition pieces from high-quality materials that might otherwise be discarded. Our brand is dedicated to responsible practices and crafting exceptional products.

Modal

Derived from beech trees, which require minimal water and land resources to grow, reducing the strain on ecosystems. The manufacturing of modal involves a closed-loop process that recycles chemicals and solvents, minimizing waste and emissions. Modal is fully biodegradable.

Deadstock

We utilize designer deadstock fabrics like silk, wool, and cotton to reduce fashion's environmental impact by repurposing excess materials, minimizing waste. Scarce deadstock availability elevates each piece, fostering exclusivity and desirability for our brand.

Tall Girl Friendly

Our founder, Gergana, always faced challenges in finding high-quality garments that cater to taller frames. This inspired her to create a brand that embraces a diverse range of body sizes and shapes. To ensure a better fit for everyone, we intentionally design our garments with slightly longer lengths. This thoughtful approach provides flexibility in the tailoring process, as it's much easier to shorten a garment than to add extra length, allowing for a more personalized fit.
